GOING FOR THE WORLD RECORD

On 2nd February, 1958, a formation of 16 F-86s performed a loop during an air display at Masroor Airbase, Karachi and made the world record in Aviation history. The Falcons (their call sign) depicted here are doing taxi while others have taken off for the practice mission. The formation was led by W/C M Z Masud.

ZAFAR CHAUDHARY’S NILOFUR

Flying Officer Zafar Chaudhary (later CAS of PAF) while serving in 7 Squadron of Royal Indian Air force,before partition, named his Spitfire (C/N RN-183)” Nilofur”. He named it in her inspiration. Nilofur was a beautiful Turkish princess who was married to a son of Nizam of Hyderabad.

THE BEAR INTERCEPTED

The painting depicts Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed gets a ride on Eurofighter of 29 Reserve Squadron of RAF.The flight took place on 1st November, 2006.He became the first Pakistani to fly in the Eurofighter Typhoon.
