Leading Aircraftman Mohammed Azam Nasir, Tamgha-i-Juraat
During an enemy raid at PAF Chander, instead of taking shelter, Leading Aircraftman Mohammed Azam Nasir proudly faced the Indian bomber with G-3 rifle and kept on firing at the attacking aircraft.
A bomb fell about six yards from his trench and buried him alongwith other occupants of the trench.
All except he were dug out alive. For his outstanding courage and devotion to duty, he was awarded the Tamgha-i-Juraat.
