Pakistan's biggest joint military exercises High Mark 2010

Pakistan Air Force is organizing countrys biggest joint military exercises Exercise High Mark-2010 with Pak Army and Pak Navy. According to Spokesperson of PAF, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman briefed Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani about these exercises.

 

Pakistan's Indigenous JF-17 Thunder Squadron joins Fighter fleet

First Squadron of JF-17 Thunder formally joined fighter aircraft fleet of Pakistan Air Force. A ceremony for the formal induction of JF-17 Thunder aircraft was held at one of the PAFs operational bases. Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was chief guest on the occasion.

 

PAF received first Saab 2000 Airborne Warning & Control System (AEW&C)

Pakistan Air Force has received first of its four Saab 2000 Airborne Warning & Control System (AWACS) aircraft from Sweden which will bolster the capabilities of the force manifold. There was a dire need to bridge, as far as possible, the growing disparity in the defence of Pakistan and the arch rival India.

 

PAF achieves capability to use Motorway as its unconventional Air Base

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully validated its concept of fighter operations from motorway when its two fighter aircraft landed on a motorway. The historic landmark was achieved as part of the ongoing High Mark-2010 exercise. After landing, the aircraft were refuelled, rearmed and re-launched.

 

First indigenously manufactured JF-17 Thunder handed over to PAF

JF-17 Thunder first ever multi role state of the art rolled out of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra and was included to the fleet of Pakistan Air Force. JF-17 Thunder light weight and low cost multi role fighter aircraft has high maneuverability and BVR capability.

PAF sets up Commandos of SSG training center for Anti Terrorism operations

Special Service Wing (SSW) is an independent commando division of the Pakistan Air Force. In the wake of evolving security situation, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has set up a special training centre to impart training to commandos of special services group of Air force in Anti Terrorism operations besides rescue operations in respect of hostages.

 

Graduation Ceremony held at Pakistan Air Force Academy Risalpur

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Nauman Bashir has said that Pakistan's Armed Forces are fully capable to face any challenge, if imposed in Air, Lands or Seas. Addressing to Passing Out Parade at PAF Academy Riaslpur, Naval Chief said that PAF has been playing a critical role in operations with Army and Navy that shows PAF's commitment and professionally competent.

 

Pakistan starts production of Avionics for JF-17 Thunder combat aircraft

Pakistan successfully launched the production project of avionics for the JF-17 Thunder fighter jet at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra. Past indigenous avionics projects have included a radar homing system in 1960s for F-104 fighter jet; an IRST pod and modifications to the GEC 956 HUD (Head Up Display); and HUDWAC (HUD Weapon Aiming Computer) for F-7P in the 1990s.
